Overview
USDB is a client project building a stablecoin directly on Bitcoin using Runes — no sidechain, no wrapped asset, no EVM layer underneath.
Bitcoin has no smart contract environment in the sense Ethereum does. Issuing and moving a stablecoin means working within UTXO constraints and the Runes protocol, where the transaction structure itself carries the token logic.
Approach
Designed the Runes transaction mechanics governing issuance and transfer.
Worked directly with the UTXO model to build token movement valid under Bitcoin's constraints.
Built the contract layer and supporting backend as second lead developer.
Outcome
A functioning stablecoin issued natively on Bitcoin via Runes.
Transaction mechanics designed to hold under the UTXO model rather than abstracting around it.
